Stephanie Topham is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri. Stephanie obtained a Master of Science in Clinical Counseling degree from Central Methodist University and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree in Clinical Psychology. She is a member of the American Counseling Association, American Psychological Association of Graduate Students, National Career Development Association, Missouri Mental Health Counselors Association, and Association of Counseling Sexology and Sexual Wellness. Stephanie has worked in diverse settings including college clinical counseling centers, private practice, and the public school system. She is a certified educator and has training in understanding and working with ADHD. Stephanie employs a biopsychosocial orientation, conceptualizing clients holistically. She incorporates techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, interpersonal therapy, narrative therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, as well as strategies from a strengths-based and client-centered approach. Stephanie aims to help clients not only remediate elements of their lives they’d like to change, but to build upon the strengths and talents that allow us to live joyfully. She has experience helping clients with anxiety, panic, depression, ADHD, personality disorders, substance use, relationship difficulties, multicultural relations, intergenerational distress, school/career-related concerns, and self-esteem. While not working or going to school, Stephanie is usually busy at home with her husband and three children. Rural mid-MO-born and new to the metro, Stephanie is very excited to be much closer to amenities like the airport, zoo, lakes, music venues, Arrowhead Stadium, BBQ, and the abundance of Targets. Stephanie is pleased to be accepting new clients virtually and in-person.
