Frequently Asked Question

  • How long is therapy?
Sessions are typically 50-60 minutes in length.
  • Do you offer in person and telehealth sessions?
Yes! We offer sessions in person at our brick and mortar location at 1412 SW Eagles Parkway in Grain Valley or online via our HIPAA compliant virtual therapy portal.
  • How much do services cost?
Therapy sessions are $80-150 for individuals or $100-175 for couple, family, and play therapy sessions depending on the provider. Each provider's page lists their specific rates. We also offer therapy with our intern providers for $40. Psychiatric services range in cost from $65-300.
  • What if I need to get on medication?
We have two Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners who would be happy to visit with you about possible medications to support your mental health journey. New patients for Psychiatry must first have a 60 minute Psychiatric Intake Appointment, and those can be scheduled by calling the office.
  • Do you accept insurance?
Each 510 Provider is independent, and so their choice to accept insurance is unique to their practices. Currently, Melissa, Nate, Michelle, Laura, Ginger, Sierra, Morgan, Kaci and Sarah are in-network with Cigna. Melissa and Laura are also in-network with Aetna and UHC. All providers are happy to provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company as an out-of-network provider for reimbursement. It’s important to verify out-of-network benefits with your carrier to ensure this is an option in your policy. We are happy to chat with you more about this, as we understand that therapy is an investment, and it has to work in your budget.
  • What about appointment cancellations?
Because we are blocking out a spot for you to be seen, and there is such a demand for our providers' time, we take cancellations very seriously. We have a strict cancellation policy that requires clients to cancel 24 business hours in advance, or they will be charged the full service fee. Insurance cannot be billed on services that do not happen, so clients will be responsible for this cost. Since our receptionist is only in the office Monday- Friday from 9AM-5PM, cancellations will only be considered to have been received if they are received during these business hours. After hours messages will only be considered as within the 24 business hour policy if they are still within the timeframe when they are received on the next business day. Example 1: Sue texts the office at 8PM on Thursday night to cancel her Friday 4PM appointment. Since this was received after business hours and after the 24 hour cut off, Sue would be charged the full cost of her appointment. Example 2: Joe calls the office on Wednesday night at 9PM and leaves a message stating that he will be unable to attend his Friday appointment at 9AM. Since this message would be received at 9AM on Thursday, it would meet criteria for the 24 business hour cancellation policy, and Joe would not be charged.
