Sierra was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri and completed her Masters in Marriage and Family therapy at the University of Central Missouri. Prior to that, she completed her Bachelor's Degree in Child Family Development with a minor in Psychology in 2019 as a first generation college student. Sierra has a variety of experience with individuals, families, and children through internships with Child Safe, Department of Social Services, Adventure Club through the Warrensburg School District and in her therapy clinical work at the University of Central Missouri. Sierra has experience from ages 3 years old to adulthood and has certifications in QPR Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper program and Mental Health First Aid. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, she works to strengthen family systems as well as improve problem solving, self-awareness, and compassion with every client. She utilizes the modalities of play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and solution focused therapy. Sierra values safety, compassion, courage, confidentiality, honesty, trust, and hope. With that, she works to offer a safe space for those who need to be heard, understood, and valued. Sierra wants everyone to know that you aren’t alone and no one should have to suffer in silence. Sierra is here to walk with you through the process of change and acceptance. Sierra is supervised by Melissa Winston, MS, LMFT-S, LCMFT-S. Sierra is currently accepting new clients and works through secure telehealth as well.
Sierra is able to submit insurance claims on behalf of clients as an in-network provider with Cigna. She can offer a superbill to submit to other carriers as an out of network provider.
