Megan Boyd is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in Missouri and California with 10 years of clinical experience. Megan has always had a drive to care for others and made it her mission to find a career that could really help people live their best lives. While in school, she gained experience through working in child care and as a nursing assistant. This experience, along with her own lived experience, has helped Megan earn a deeper sense of empathy and understanding for others in suffering. As a therapist, Megan’s goal is to create a trusting and collaborative relationship with clients while using specialized tools to help them move forward towards their goals. Megan believes everyone can reach their goals as long as they are willing to put in the work to create change. She uses a gentle, yet direct approach to enhance client’s confidence in their work. Megan focuses on clients as a whole while looking into their emotional, psychological, and physical needs to help find the root cause of their mental health challenges. Megan has experience working with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and major life changes using cognitive behavioral therapy, parts work, and EMDR. Megan works with many populations, but is passionate about helping women navigate the life changes that come with marriage, divorce, child birth, infertility, and the many other women's issues. She understands each of these life events comes with identity shifts that impact a woman deeply and desires to make that transition a little bit easier for her clients. In Megan’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter going to parks, the zoo, and finding new coffee shops. She loves being in the outdoors on hikes, time in the gym, and walks with her dogs. Megan’s goal in life is to find the beauty in the midst of chaos and hopes to walk alongside others to do the same.
